From April 30 to May 1, 2026, we held a total of nine seminars in Modena, Italy, consisting of seven seminars on Daito-ryu Aiki Jujutsu and two seminars on Itto-ryu Kenjutsu.
Approximately 70 participants from 10 countries attended, and we shared the fundamentals, philosophy, and distinctive characteristics of Daito-ryu Aiki Jujutsu.
During the Daito-ryu Aiki Jujutsu seminars, we provided intensive instruction focused on mastering basic aiki techniques and practicing the teachings from Ikkajō through Gokajō. In addition, we taught advanced techniques to senior practitioners to help them progress to the next stage of their training. We are truly relieved that all participants improved remarkably and that the seminars concluded safely without any serious injuries.
At the Itto-ryu Kenjutsu seminars, we taught the fundamental sword postures, swinging methods, and basic kata, as well as the relationship between Daito-ryu and Itto-ryu.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Lisco , the Chief Director of the Italy Branch, who hosted this event, as well as Branch Director Alex Luca and all members of the Italian branches. We were deeply moved by their warm hospitality and the heartfelt meals they prepared for us.
The time we spent staying at Alex’s home has become a truly memorable experience for us. Once again, we extend our sincere appreciation and thanks.
Furthermore, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Hukuhombucho Usuyama, Urawa Branch Director Ajioka, and Mr. Nishimura, who participated despite his advanced age. Their dedication and support deserve our deepest respect and appreciation.
